ÞEL / THEL
STAGE AND COSTUME DESIGN
THEL is a collective organism, a mass movement. An organic mass, listening and searching for support through repetitive motion and song, creating a situation of compassion and intimacy.
THEL is an organic embrace, a fragile mass of manual labour, a soft landscape.
THEL is a new Icleandic piece by the award winning choreograph Katrín Gunnarsdóttir.
Katrín Gunnarsdóttir is an Icelandic choreographer and dancer based in Reykjavík. She is interested in soft encounters, resonance, rhythm and how labour intensive choreographies reveal the relationship between action and its affect.
